ClaimWise · Insurance claims decisions

Every claim decided on the evidence.

ClaimWise reads every claim document, checks it against the policy, weighs the evidence and recommends the decision with its reasoning. Adjusters stay in control wherever your authority matrix requires.

Capabilities

What ClaimWise does.

  • Cross-document reasoning

Claim form, invoice, survey and photos compared; where they disagree, your rules decide which source governs.

  • Evidence-backed assessment

Every claimed item must be evidenced. Unsupported items are excluded, with the reason recorded.

  • Fraud & risk signals

Duplicate claims, prior-claim history and cross-document inconsistencies flagged before any recommendation.

Control & governance

The adjuster sees one screen of evidence, not a stack of documents.

Every recommendation arrives with its Decision Record.

  • What was checked, what the evidence shows, what was excluded and why
  • Which policy terms applied, and the confidence
  • Approve, adjust or reject in one place, on the record for audit, disputes and regulators

From claims to underwriting

The documents and context ClaimWise builds for a line of business carry into the next decision. Insurers start with claims and extend into underwriting on the same platform.

What is ClaimWise?

ClaimWise is AI insurance claims processing from Cogniquest. It reads every claim document, checks it against the policy, weighs the evidence and recommends the decision with its reasoning. Adjusters stay in control wherever your authority matrix requires.

Which lines of insurance does ClaimWise support?

ClaimWise is built for general insurers, across lines such as device protection and extended warranty, accidental and liquid damage, and marine. It is live in production across marine, extended warranty, and accidental and liquid damage claims.

How does ClaimWise check coverage?

It confirms the policy was in force on the date of loss, checks perils and exclusions, limits and claims already used, and matches the insured item to the policy. The payable amount is calculated against the sum insured, with deductibles and limits applied.

Does ClaimWise detect claims fraud?

Yes. Duplicate claims, prior-claim history and inconsistencies across documents are flagged before any recommendation is made. Every claimed item must be evidenced, and unsupported items are excluded with the reason recorded.

Do adjusters stay in control?

Yes. Claims go straight through only within authority limits. Above the limit, for partial approvals or flagged claims, an adjuster signs off on one screen of evidence: what was checked, what was excluded and why, and the policy terms applied. They approve, adjust or reject on the record.

What claim documents can ClaimWise read?

Claim forms, invoices, survey reports, estimates and photos, arriving from the portal, app, email or API. They are split, identified and linked to the claim, and where they disagree, your rules decide which source governs.

What results has ClaimWise delivered?

A European insurer operating in India cut marine claims from 28 days to 2, with claims intake, validation and adjudication across 200,000 claims a year. Insurers can then extend from claims into underwriting on the same platform.
